Re-Cap of a Wonderful Weekend!

Thursday started off with the Georgetown Bidness Anniversary Party at the Halcyon House in Georgetown. Let me tell you, the venue is just stunning, truly a hidden gem in this bustling city! We enjoying sipping cocktails and appreciating the view before heading over to Erwin Gomez's Dragon Confessionals party...

The Dragon Confessional's party was positively fabulous with wonderful drinks and music, and of course the men enjoyed the bikini calendar. Apparently I thought it was time for a photo shoot, so the lovely photographer Chris Anthony took care of our needs!

Later that evening Rebecca and I supported the local firemen of group #2 from the M and 23rd station on our way to the Rookery for the Madison "Mad in Madras" event raising money for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. Once inside, I enjoyed the most wonderful Thursday evening surrounded by many friends I hadn't seen in ages! Ah, summertime...

Friday was packed with the Johnnie Walker Blue private tasting event at the Mellon Auditorium. I dare say it was by far the most unique and entertaining events I have ever been to in the Washington area, kudos to Theo! Although I think I probably made the most unattractive face known to man as we went on adventure tasting the black, gold, red, and green labels, I really did enjoy the education aspect, not to mention the set up of the tasting with the gorgeous white rows and screens. Followed that up with a sumptious dinner at The Source with Pirooz, Arash, and the producers of Transformers 2 whom I am pretty sure think a scene where I get crushed by a giant evil transformer would be a really great fit in the film! ;-) Took them back to L2 before calling it a night...

Saturday was the hottest day of my life... The Madison successfully raised thousands of dollars for the early morning Race for the Cure benefiting the Susan G. Komen Foundation, even in the horrendous heat! I was melting away all day long at GMU setting up for the Washington Bayhawks' game against the Rochester Rattlers, which they dominated 14-11 before the game got called early due to lightening storms in the vicinity.

Sunday had me heading over to Crystal City for the Crystal City Bidness Crystal City Rocks concert series with Everclear! I was obsessed with Everclear (and MXPX) as a high schooler, so I reveled in the fact that I was hearing them live for the very first time... I followed that up with a cold shower (totally necessary) before heading to PR and Partners' Fashion Show at Town... More to come on that one but let me tell you-phenomenal!
