Last week, 3145 Mount Pleasant Street burned down in the early morning hours. God's blessings allowed all of the residents to make it out safely, but 200+ tenants lost every last possession- from photo albums to children's toys, having to buy every last thing over again.
On Saturday, Army of Me hosted a drive for people to bring toys, clothes, toiletries, etc. to Shamrock Fest and then to be donated to the families.
This Wednesday, March 19th, L2 in Georgetown is hosting a private emergency fundraiser with a $20 minimum donation at the door, proceeds going to purchase things the families really need and help them get a roof over their heads.
L2 lounge is located in Cady's Alley at 3318 M Street. Doors open at 6pm.
