Hands on DC 2008 Work-A-Thon

Last week at the Tennis Ball, Andre Agassi said something that really sunk in. "We have to go out and find these people, they don't know how to find us." The money we raise every week is of course very helpful in combating the many obstacles that our neighbors are faced with, but that money only goes so far. Reaching out to the community and actually DOING something is valued at ten-fold any monetary donation.

On Saturday, April 26th, Hands on DC Workathon allows members of the DC community to get out there, paint, repair, and refurbish a school. Education is the path towards a brighter future. Although teams registration is closed, you can still volunteer as an individual participant. Keri Ann and I did this last year and it was one of the most rewarding afternoons I could have ever imagined!
